THERAPY
Few people seek out therapy when they are feeling well-connected. And yet at its core therapy is a collaborative relationship.
In psychotherapy, you and I will work together to deepen your self-understanding and implement positive change through exploration of a wide range of aspects of your self and your life. This can include talking about thoughts, feelings, dreams, relationships, and experiences that may not have space elsewhere in your life.
Whatever life circumstances have brought you to therapy, it is important to find a therapist with whom you can connect. In study after study, the quality of one’s connection with their therapist is one of the most consistent factors in support of the positive impact of therapy (Fife et al, 2014; Teyber, 2000; Wampold, 2001).
I have experience providing therapy to people facing a wide array of circumstance and challenges. I welcome you to contact me to discuss what specifically is bringing you to therapy. Some of the reasons that people seek therapy with me are:
Depression, anxiety, OCD and stress
Traumatic events, PTSD, & complex trauma
Processing topics related to sexuality and gender
Work-related concerns, boundaries, or vicarious trauma for healers, organizers, activists, sex workers, and others
Developing meaningful life purpose
Accelerating personal growth, development, and attaining peak performance
Developing creative life, process, and exploring sense of purpose and meaning
