About

I received my Masters in Social Work from San Jose State University, and Bachelors Degree from the University of Southern California. I have worked as a psychotherapist and clinical social worker in community, outpatient, and inpatient settings.

I am passionate about therapy as a means of healing, supporting growth, and contributing to the development of collective wellness. Originally it was my participation in anti-violence organizations, rape crisis centers, domestic violence agencies, and community organizing that sparked my passion for healing arts and therapy. Throughout my experiences and training, I’ve maintained a central focus on the experiences of queer, trans, and LGB+ communities and individuals. I specialize in therapy for adults seeking to address emotional wellness, trauma, relationships, as well as supporting individuals from all walks of life to navigate depression, anxiety, OCD, relationship issues, and a range of other experiences.

I have benefited from extensive training in trauma-specific therapies including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I am an EMDR Certified Therapist, meaning in addition to basic introductory training in EMDR, I have pursued additional consultation, training and practice hours to gain increased proficiency. I also provide DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy)-informed therapy for those who may want more concrete tools, skills, and knowledge to balance emotions and take achievable steps towards improving their lives. I take my responsibilities as a therapist seriously, and constantly pursue opportunities to deepen my knowledge of the human psyche, meditation, somatics, relationships, researched and time-tested tools and skills for wellness.

I have completed a year-long training program in psychodynamic therapy and group therapy through the Maple Counseling Center. I am a 200-hour trained yoga teacher through Niroga Institute, with special training on trauma-informed yoga for adults and youth. Presently, I am training in modern group analysis through the Center for Group Studies, as well as receiving on-going consultation in providing trans and queer affirming therapy.

Originally from the desert southwest, I currently make my home on Nahaus territory in Jalisco, Mexico. I also spend significant time on Tongva territory, also known as Los Angeles, California, and O’oodham territory, also known as Tucson, Arizona. I am an avid reader and find my deepest ease and joy in being outdoors.
