GROUP THERAPY

Our lives are lived in groups; those of family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, culture, and society.

Therapy in groups can embolden us for a life lived in community.

Process groups focus on the immediate dynamics between group members, offering a unique opportunity to address the dynamics that arise between people in a supportive setting with others who are committed to personal growth. In group, you can:

  • learn about how you affect others and patterns in how others affect you.

  • practice new ways of being, from setting boundaries to learning how to let others in, practicing vulnerability to assessing safety needs.

  • address the real life/real world issues and dynamics of conflict that arise in relationships, families, workplaces, and life.

  • understand and express your immediate experience as a whole person, receiving support from others and supporting others to do the same.

I offer process groups as stand-alone therapy or in addition to individual therapy to support people in achieving their therapeutic goals. I have facilitated numerous process groups and therapy groups and participated in even more to experience first hand the power of group. I have extensive training in group therapy and take seriously my obligation to form and facilitate groups that serve the best interests of the group and its members.
